Will the Children know?

Pale blues skies scattered with light fluffy clouds.

A slow, soft, cool, breeze blows the vibrant green leaves,

covering the trees like a summer dress on a beautiful woman.

Will the children of the future be able to enjoy what nature we have now?

To hear the birds singing in the dawn of day…

To hear the song of the crickets, at night as they play…

To see crystal clear water flowing down a river…

To see squirrels scamper across the ground…

To smell the fragrance from a budding flower…

To smell the fresh, clean air after a rain…

To touch the soft fur of a new born bunny…

To touch the cool, smooth surface of a shiny rock…

Smooth, fresh cut grass covering the ground, like a soft velvety blanket.

Will the children of the future know the beauty Mother Nature has provided?

Or will the human race continue to destroy what was once so eloquently made?
